Overview
In this course, students will consider the way in which computing and information technology have impacted our lives and the way in which we study. Students will be given the opportunity to explore the way in which Information Technology affects both studying and working lives and be given the opportunity to practice and reflect upon their digital skills.

How will I learn?
This course is classroom based but has many applications for students across the entire curriculum. Students will practice their skills across the following units of study.
The aim of this course is to build the confidence to use information technology in a safe and efficient way, supporting studies across the curriculum and preparing students to use information technology in the workplace as they move forward in life.
What will I learn?
Unit 1: Find and use information
Unit 2: Working safely and securely when using data and devices
Unit 3: Communicating and collaborating online
Unit 4: Using word processing software
Unit 5: Using a computer
Method of assessment
You will be assessed through coursework portfolios.
